Exceptional location ... entrance located on street that turns into pedestrian only at night ... lot of energy due to restaurants, shops, pubs ... looking out the back it overlooks a small park surrounded by Iceland's historic parliament building and the site of Iceland's main cathedral ... locally owned (not a chain) about which we were surprised as there were a number of "Center" hotels nearby which are part of a chain ... in this case the Center refers to its great location. Staff were most helpful and the decor was very artfully and tastefully done ... hotel redone during covid ... really worth staying there.

Great spacious room and luxury bathroom with hairdryer. Self regulated heating. Great views from the balcony with a log burner. Efficient friendly reception staff. Luggage storage. Even a shoe shine in the lobby. Comfortable bed. Choice of TV channels.

The room exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, well-appointed, and had modern fixtures. The bathroom was very nice and my friend and I had plenty of space with the storage, desk, couch, footstool, and table. It was perfect. There were also two shelves by the door and one had hooks. Those two shelves were great since we needed to have raincoats. Every hotel needs hooks by the door!

Very convenient location. Loads of dinner options and shops within 10 mins walk. Walk to/from main bus terminal in 20 mins. Friendly staff and loved the interesting decor of the hotel. Loved greeting the resident cat in the lobby each day too! We enjoyed an upgraded room as well, not sure why but we weren't complaining!
